B. C. and D groups were chosen by drawing for car number.  Christopher was in car 14 along with Don Stewart, Michael Gesser, and Ty Cota-Robles.  Christopher was the A group driver for his team.</div> <bR> <div> Each team chose the order their drivers would run in the four races of the day.  Team 14 decided to run D-B-C-A.  Whatever positon the driver before you finished is what you would start for your race.</div> <bR> <div> Everything was going according to plan until Ty Cota-Robles got tangled up with some other cars that had spun in front of him.  He had no where to go and did a good job of avoiding major injury.  However, this meant that Christopher had to start in last place in his race.</div> <bR> <div> By the end of the first lap Christopher was in 4th place.  He caught a few more and by race end finished in 2nd place ahead of one of the best driving instructors for the school and also beating the 3rd place finisher in the 2001 USAC Formula Russell Championship.</div> <bR> <div> <IMG SRC="1124a8e0.gif" border=0 width="586" height="398" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div> Christopher in number 10.</div> <bR> <div> <IMG SRC="1154a8e0.gif" border=0 width="586" height="398" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div> Christopher in number 14 going up the inside.</div> <bR> <div> <IMG SRC="1144a8e0.gif" border=0 width="586" height="398" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div> Nosing in.</div> <bR> <div> <IMG SRC="1134a8e0.gif" border=0 width="586" height="398" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <div> In line with the rest for the moment.</div> <bR> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
